Men's Retreat

April 18, 19 & 20

at the Falls Creek Retreat Center in Raymond, WA

The purpose of Men’s Ministries of Calvary Community Church is to love and serve the Lord with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength and to love our brothers as ourselves. It is our prayer and heart’s desire that He might use us to nurture spiritual growth, provide Christian fellowship, and offer opportunities for service to each man who is seeking.

Leadership—
Our Men’s Ministry Board consists of ten laymen plus the Family Life pastor and meet once a month to organize, review, and pray for our activities.

• Bible Studies
• Retreats

Fellowship—
• Men’s Fellowship Breakfast

• Work

Service—
• Handyman to assist widows, single parents, seniors, and any others that may be in need of help.

Retreats—
Our annual Men’s Retreat is held from Friday night through lunch on Sunday every spring at Falls Creek Retreat Center in Raymond. Don’t miss this opportunity to gather together with other men to worship and praise God, and to hear an exciting guest speaker. There is time for recreational activities such as horseshoes, practicing your golf swing, fishing, gym activities, hiking to the falls, relaxing in the hot tub, or just taking a nap. In 2007 the retreat will be April 20, 21 & 22.

Fellowship—
The Men’s Fellowship Breakfast is held the first Saturday of each month at 8 a.m. in the Garden Room. Come and enjoy fellowship, a devotional or testimonial, prayer, and great food.

Our annual Chili & Soup Feed is held in the Garden Room on a winter Sunday after church. This is for the whole family. Donations benefit the Men’s Retreat Scholarship Fund.

Sporting Events—
These are family functions or bring-a-friend trips to a professional ballgame.

Golf Tournaments—
We hold a Scramble Golf Tournament each year, which includes the ladies and youth that want to play.

Handyman—
This group was formed to reach out to those in our congregation who need some work done and are unable to do it themselves. We have done yard work, cleaned gutters, fixed autos, repaired plumbing, cut wood, etc. for the elderly, widows, and single mothers.
