We are Calvary Community Church, a nondenominational congregation of 367 members in Longview, Washington, proclaiming Jesus as the Son of God and the Bible as the Word of God.  Our mission is to glorify God and proclaim His Word for the purpose of bringing people to Jesus Christ, building up believers to be more like Him through the power of the Holy Spirit.

For just the third time in over fifty years, we are seeking a senior pastor, to begin his ministry here on January 1, 2017.  He should exemplify the qualities described in Ephesians 4:11 and Titus 1:7-9.  Being equipped by conviction, training, and temperament, he will lead this church in fulfilling its mission. He should: 

• Be called by God as a pastor.
  
• Be firmly grounded in the Word of God through education, ongoing study, and devotions, so that he will stand firm in the Word, and by it instruct in sound doctrine and refute those who contradict it.
  
• Be hospitable, a lover of good, self-controlled, upright, holy, disciplined, modeling a total commitment to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord at home, in the church, and in the community.
  
• Preach and teach the Word of God with power, clarity, and grace.
