OUr worship

Since 2003, we have had morning worship services at 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., except for summer months when we have a combined service at 10 a.m.

The 9:30 service is contemporary.  Music is led by a band that generally includes keyboard, bass guitar, acoustic/electric guitar, drums, etc.  The service primarily consists of music, announcements, and the sermon.  Offering boxes are placed near the entrance to the sanctuary, and offering plates are not passed during this service.

At 11:00 the worship style is more traditional, with a 20-30 person choir, announcements, spoken prayers, collection of the offering, special music, and the sermon.  Most of the congregational songs are traditional hymns, led by piano, acoustic guitar, vocal team, and the choir.

In 2015, attendance at the 9:30 service averaged 229, and the 11:00 service averaged 133.

Communion is observed on the first Sunday of the month.

Calvary also presents dramatic musicals and cantatas to proclaim the Gospel story of Jesus at Christmas and Easter.  These are also sometimes performed elsewhere in the community;  such as at the hospital and retirement homes.
